I'm in a graduate class for Leadership/Group Dynamics (online from WTAMU) and it's kickin my butt! Tons of reading, reflecting, and analyzing.
I'm really not in the mood for conflict resolution, etc. But I shall persevere!!

Last month I was in Carrollton observing the juvenile dockets in their Municipal Courts for a class, so there was some fun in the big city to be had on my "off" hours. Mostly, I'm focused on school and spending time with my grandson when I'm here in this sleepy panhandle town. Occasionally I'll get up to Amarillo for a poetry slam, or even participate in one if I'm especially adventurous! If I want to party, it happens at home. Too far to drive otherwise (live in a dry county)!

Only been to Austin twice. Once for a Farm Aid concert back in the 80s. Figured out hippies and panhandlin were still alive and well (comforting), and then again on a school trip for a GT conference. I don't exactly know why I never went back... It's pretty and tons to do.
My nephew is working up in CO right now, and he invited me to go see him there for the weekend. Heading to the mountains sounds pretty adventurous, and certainly a welcomed distraction from the paper I have to write... :)

If all goes according to plan, I will graduate in December of this year. I don't have to write a thesis for this degree, just take a comprehensive test that will also certify me as a webmaster.
