About Me:
I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.~Diane Ackerman. I am open to the guidance of synchronicity, and do not let expectations hinder my path. ~ Dalai Lama."Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. --Une Personne Française Anonyme."Ello! Thank you for dropping by to visit. As an (Adult) TCK of the Foreign Service genre ~ and a INTJ for good measure, I'm just another citizen flea (genus: kosmopolitês ) of this savage little planet . One who divides her time between Toronto,On. Raleigh, N.C. and London, England. I use the word "dazzling" in my moniker to honour my late father. It was his nickname for me ( Dazz) when he was happy with me. It reminds me to try and do my very best - mind, most days I'm more zazzle than dazzle."I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth." ~Umberto Eco. I Joined TBD1 on July 12th, 2008 (it was founded in Sept. of 2007) and on July 13th, 2009 we migrated to TBD2 ~ on the island of Ning. It's a story. Thank you Robin. Who are "zoomers" ? We are Canadian "boomers" . . . with "ZIP" ! Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZoomerMedia and read all about us!

  • ZenDog

Wow. Impressive. I love what you've done with the place.

I see you have a quote from Umberto Eco? Interesting . . . I once worked at a homeless shelter overnight, and I was trying to read one of his works. Strangely, the book kept disappearing . . .
  • Angharad

    Diana...you are precious to me.
  • ZenDog

Interesting synopsis of Umberto Eco's work. I guess in a way that's what I've been saying -

    Don't go near the fun house, it's not fun . . .
  • Michael H. Bone

What a sweet profile page! Love the Toronto skyline!
  • stillgoing

Shouldn't be an issue Daz. I brought my furry handcuffs....I'm really good at packing.....now if I can just figure out which box they're in...
  • stillgoing

    Dirty old lady.....oh wait I am...LOL
Actually I picked up a bunch of surplus goodies on ebay, fire sale prices and all. Bukowski and I cleaned out the bar, I don't recall if we stashed it or drank it, but nothing important was left behind.

My pleasure! I'm wrangling paperwork this afternoon, but when I get a break this evening, I'll see if I can find (or recreate) that post. I think it began "Take one suitcase...." ;)

Cool page, DZG! Thanks for coming by - I hope someone who actually takes BIH comments. I don't feel we've really gotten much of an answer! Great group you started!
  • Brian

Well Helloooo Gal Diana, my one and only true love - I'm still on a high from our top secret romantic weekend getaway (this isn't displayed publicly is it? I mean, like where TSD and all the babes I've been making promises to can see it, right? Nah, I'm sure it isn't).
Boy, that animated thing below me sure is annoying...
  • Whozzo

Me? Where have I been? Hahaha, Right Here!!! ;)

Good morning from the City of Sin, Poughkeepsie NY

  • ZenDog

LoL! I'm so humbled I just don't know what to say. It does leave me with a question tho ~ just what does it all mean, anywayz?

    Does anyone know?

Ultimately, I don't feel all that special ~ Kat was featured for over a week for gosh sakes, and it looks like I only rate about 12 hours!
  • Balboa Tishman

So good to hear from you. Are you in the States now or still traveling. Please let me know about your new group. I too have been busy, My daughter had taken me to The Kennedy Space Center to view the launch of STS127 as a Father's Day gift. We've been running up and back all for each attempt. Finally it launched on Wed. Ride was c.225 miles and takes about 3.5 hours, with the exception of last Sunday. Roads were packed Sunday evenigg as they usually are It took 6.5 hours (I think we put on enough miles to drive to the Space Station ourselves.)
I hope you are having a nice summer.
    I've missed you.Hug
