We've grown older. As we grow we gather friends, especially in these days of Internet and social networking. But as the years pass we begin to lose the ones we love and while we are able to move on as we should, there is a part of us that wants to hold on...and to not let the world forget that someone existed, did their time and left us.
This is the place where those that are gone remain alive in our memories.
I begin it with some TBD members that live-on in my own heart, but everyone's memories are welcome. Open a discussion for anyone close to you that you choose not to forget. Post photos, post the laughter, post the joy...post the tears.
This group is for them.
Fred Bacon Stieg III, beloved husband, father, grandfather, nuclear Physicist and snazzy dresser drifted off this mortal coil on Saturday, November 30th, 2024.
Fred was born on April 4, 1940, in Yonkers, New York. He graduated from Annapolis Naval Academy in 1965. He had a lifelong love of learning and devoured as many new topics as possible to include the many years he spent obtaining several master’s degrees in Math, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration and his PhD in Physics. He also loved to share his knowledge with others and was a natural born teacher and leader.
Fred was a man of many talents. He loved to ride motorcycles, ride horses, ski, and even managed to shipwreck his boat on a deserted island once. He was a connoisseur of ice cream and passionately believed no dish should be served without salt! He was generous to a fault, a teddy bear at heart, yet he sugar-coated nothing. He had an overabundance of charisma, charm, corny jokes and feistiness.
Fred married his main squeeze Elizabeth over 40 years ago, with whom he is survived by, as well as his children Trixy Elizabeth Stieg, Aaron Frederick Stieg (Jennifer), and Joshua Santino Spatola. He was a proud Grandfather to his six grandchildren Aruna, Aaron, Colette, Anusha, Violette, and Aaralyn. He also leaves behind his fur babies Ziggy & Ruckus, with whom we all know he loved more than us.
Services will be held on January 10, 2024, at 1:45 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd. Riverside, CA 92518.
