Hi Anthony!
Sorry I haven't been around as of late! I've been busy out looking for an Ark!
It continues to rain here in N IL. Can't depend on when or where as the weather folks sure don't know! - LOL
Last night was suppose to be a cool night! However, they failed to mention it was going to drizzle all throughout the night! Had the windows open, and kept hearing the water drip off the large oak leaves.....
Now if you can believe the weather guessers, we are suppose to have a dry Friday, then it's suppose to rain Mon, Tues., Wed. and Thrs.... Now all I have to do is figure out when I'm going to be able to cut the grass.........
Cheers everyone.. - AL
We had thunderstorms last night which did not help any. It is sunny out but still very humid. The sweat still pours out even when you sit down. Better to stay in with the AC on.
We had torrential rain & high wind late yesterday. Lost power for about 3 hours. Surprisingly, when I went to town today the dirt road was in good shape - not washed out and water standing in only 4-5 places. The county has done a great job of grading & ditching. Wind blew our jon boat over in the yard & it's heavy with water but two of us can dump it later after the day cools. Ready for the holiday weekend.
Quack, Quack!
Well, the rain is behind us, almost 2" last night. Walking around the house this AM, looks like we only lost a few small branches............ What a change from last yr. as were were in severe drought last yr.
The creek is on a rampage since last night, however it has stayed within it's banks, and has not flooded the road as yet!
Plan on working inside today, as it's too wet outside to do anything!
Hope Seashelly, made it thru the nasty weather, as it was heading her way!
Chief, how you doing out in your area??
Cheers! - AL
Hi Sailspinner!
Your not the only one having to deal with lots of rain as of late! Had to cancel a trip to Min this week as the area I was going is under water!
So I'm going to spend the morning weeding............. Better now than later!
Cheers! - AL
Hey, Al, traveling in an RV will be quite an adventure. When we traveled on our boat, we found the "community of the footloose" was very much like small town life when we were growing up back in the dark ages and we kept running into the same people in different places. Keep us in the loop while you "adventure". Are you serious about "never" coming back?
We got torrential rain last night so the garden is well watered (and our dirt road muddied). Humidity still as high as temps - 70% - at night. Thank goodness for a/c. Glad yours is working, Shelly.
Good to hear from you, Chief & Anthony.
Hi Gang!
Weather has been all over the map! Wet, Cold, FOG, Hail, Rain, Flooding Creeks. The other day, we received 2 1/2" in an hour! The following day, 1" in 20 minutes, etc... And that's in the past 2 Wks.
The grand kids are now gone till the fall, and the garden center gig ended several week early! I'm Free for a while!
In between all of this, I've been out of town looking at Class A motor homes.. Hoping to spend some time traveling W E S T >>>>>>> Never to return!
A friend stopped over this past weekend, and helped me relocate some Hosta, and spread 80 bags of mulch. However, I was 20 bags short. Next week I need to order a large truck of mulch, and see if anyone will stop by to help!! - LOL
Cheers!
AL
Hi and Good Evening Weather Friends!!
Summer is so far starting out to be real HUMID! We have been having some real rainy days. Sailspinner, thanks for asking how we are doing up here in Ohio. The storms have not been to severe around me, I live about 2 hours West of Cleveland. We have had some real hot weather last week and wouldn't you know that is when our A/C stopped working. Good news is we have a new unit and is working so much better. So far the garden is doing well. It is nice to hear from everyone! Enjoy Summer!!!
How are you doing Al? Miss hearing from you!
Today is sunny and hot near 80.
What's everyone up to? Heard you had some bad weather around Cleveland, Shelley. Hope you & yours are all ok. Rain is forecast and we really need it but, so far, all the rain cells have gone around us. I went to town early yesterday before the afternoon storms but got rained on on the way home but not a drop fell here. Guess I'll have to water the garden if nothing develops today. Just our usual summer heat and humidity.
