Cover Of The Day:
"Love Me Tender", No. 1 Pop, 11/17/1956, the Pelvis Himselvis
(Love Me Tender" was based on / ripped off from a Civil War-era ballad, "Aura Lee", originally published in 1861, with music by George R. Poulton, and modernized lyrics by Vera Matson and Matson's (uncredited) husband, Ken Darby; Did you know that "Love Me Tender" is also an anagram for "Denver Omelet" ? I presume you come here to learn trivial drivel like that.)
Somewhat unnerving cover by Annette Peacock, unclassifiable musical artist, still bangin' it out since the early '70's. From her 1972 debut album, "I'm The One"
