Miramax Films is reporting that today the studio will be closing it's New York and Los Angeles
offices; 80 people will lose their jobs. Founded in 1979 by Bob and Harvey Weinstein, Miramax was a leading independent
movie distribution and production company before it was acquired by Disney in
1993. In 2005, they decided to leave the company and founded The Weinstein
Co
.

Another movie studio gone first Warner Independent and Picturehouse shutdown and Newline Cinema got took over by Warner Bros. then Fox Atomic shutdown due to its poor releases and now Disney Shutsdown Miramax whats next to shutdown Paramount Vantage MGM The Wienstien Company all of those companys are in trouble too now Disney will focus on Dreamworks films being produced through Touchstone Pictures Relaitivity Media's Rogue will have to produce more horror films thank god this studio is gone thier films sucked anyway well get to see more films from Lionsgate Summit Touchstone and Rogue. Universal will probley shutdown Focus Features to buy out Reativity Media.

I did too, but said nothing...maybe having a long ass day?
I heard Disney Studios was significantly downsizing its indie division. But not to this extent.
There's a few movies that have yet to be released so they may be rushed.
Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare in Love, Good Will Hunting, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and Chicago are some of the movies that come to mind as some of my favorites.
