Well let me tell ya about Zombieland....it had me and my wife rolling!
i would highly recommend this movie for fans of the genre. I will definitely add this one to my collection.
I will discuss in more detail when more epeople have seen it!
I'm checkin this out tonight! Hope you're on later to discuss!
A very entertaining movie. The writer of this story was so original on how he put together a zombie picture. I loved how one of the main characters was narrating the experience by telling people to stay alive by his rules. Then everytime he used these rules in the story, you would see them on the screen (original). This was probably one of Woody H's best movie's he has ever done IMHO. His character stole the show, with him wanting a twinkie through the whole picture. The romance part was kind of awkward, put it worked. There are few movie's that I will go see again and again (Darknight), and this is one of them. The part with Bill Murray is soo funny (not going to tell you, it would ruin it). All I can say is go see it!
I like my horror flicks to be really scary. I like comedy movies to make me ROFLMFAO. Usually, the 2 don't mix well. Thanks to Woody Harrelson, this movie works. And it is sooo great to see him back in the mainstream. Jesse Eisenberg does his usual brand of naive, pent up, nerdy comedy which also works well. So, the movie is very funny. However, the horror ingredient is weak and I place that blame on the director who failed to instill enough nervous tension, fear and apprehension that, say, Shaun of the Dead was able to. Overall, though, you will like this movie.
I'm not one for lengthy reviews. So I'll summarize with this. Went in with LOW expectations that were simply smashed and blown through the roof! This movie is a raucous romp of action and laughs. Nothing new in the Zombie genre, but that's OK. In short, it's like Shaun of the Dead, only better. Totally a MUST SEE flick!
