In honor of our parents

We've all done it--said or done something that embarrassed our children. We always try to put a good spin on it by telling about the time when our parents embarrassed us. So here's your chance to share a funny story about something your parents did that truly embarrassed you.
I shared this story on the old TBD but it's still funny--at least now. Wasn't funny then. It was 1973, my sophomore year in high school. I had been riding one of our horses and brought a girl home. She was a friend in high school that I liked. Somehow, me and the horse ended up in her neighborhood so I asked if she wanted to go horseback riding. She said yes and ended up back at our house.
I introduced her to my parents and then we sat down on the steps of our back porch to drink some ice water. The door between the kitchen and the pack porch was open and we could hear mom and dad talking in the kitchen. Suddenly mom said, and said quite loudly, "I guess it's about time you had that talk with our oldest son!"
The girl had just taken a large drink and laughed so hard she spit out her drink! That was the last time I ever brought a girl home until I was 24.
