How does writing make you feel?

In my case how I feel dictates my writing. If I feel depressed I write sad poems, if I am in a good mood I write happier poems.

Writing a story, be it true or fiction, is my creation and I really like it

when someone says what they feel about that story be it a negative or positive experience.

The most thrilling response is when they really believe what I wrote was something that really happened.

When I explain:

"No I did not deliver that baby on the roadside, I could have but it was not a true story"

they look at me dumbfounded or say yes you did .

The most rewarding part about writing is to have the reader

actually get in your brain and think the plot could have been true.

My only difficulty is that I have always told stories and never wrote them down

People will tell me about a story I told them 40 years ago, they remembering every detail

but I just recall the story I told them

so now I write and hope someone will read, remember  and comment
