Ideal Character

What male or female character in a movie do you think would make an ideal mate and why?

I'd choose the character played by Gary Cooper in Friendly Persuasion.  He's intelligent and even-tempered, even easy-going.  He definitely rules the family but not with an iron fist.  He "lets" people do what he knows that they should do by making them think they thought of the ideas themselves.  He has a sense of humor and is dependable, responsible, and respectable.  Wow, what a great character!

Marty.     He Is a good man, a hard worker, treats his mother well.  He wants to be married and have a family.  He is smarter than most people think he is. He looks to the future.
