Sad news! Our member, Barbara Dunson, passed away on Nov. 19 after a long illness. We’ll miss her!!!! Barbara loved reading and good books. Please  keep her husband, Ron, in your thoughts and prayers as he misses her so much.  He was a terrific caregiver!

Carolyn,  Happily got into the new Kruger book last night .  Was so happy to be reunited with the O’Conner family!

Enjoy your camping days! Hope the weather cooperates!

RAPA…I have Lightening Strike on hold and it is pending so should be in my hands this weekend?

Just finished The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and loved it!  Now listening to A Slow Fire Burning…by her…not liking so much. The ending is supposed to be a good one.

Started Uncontrolled Spread by Scott Gottlieb, MD and can’t believe how much information slipped through the cracks regarding Covid. Compelling book.

I need to get logged into Hoopla or one of those other audio editions on my phone as my Library takes so long to get popular releases.

Apposite props to you on your investigation into a realm that brings you much enjoyment.

Going camping next week…probably last for the year.

(SEPTEMBER 26 ENTRY part 3)

As per the Lincoln volume by Burlingame, I have read another 100 pages and am at page 535. I have 300 more to go. I had forgotten just how complicated a time this was and the magic that was the Abe Lincoln persona. There is a book of Lincoln's speeches edited by Roy Basler I want to read next. Reading Lincoln's words is akin to eating fine chocolate or drinking good wine for me. He is entertaining and so practical in addressing the issues that potentially could have split our country in half.
