TBD on Ning

So much focus is on the negative. For those who are happy, do you know it? Do you think about it? What is it that makes you happy? Do you pass it on with even just a simple smile?

Yep, I'm happy in spite of all temptations to the contrary. I think about it a lot. I make myself happy by seeing the funny side of life, giggling at the ridiculous things I do, noticing the beauty around me. I pass it on as best I can, even more often with a laugh than a smile.
I try to keep a positive attitude as I've found not to be, not so hot. I try to keep an even keel and not let my feelings dictate my moment to moment reactions to people. If someone has a problem, examine it and respond...not being perfect, like some of my fellow TBDers, I don't assume I'm always right. But I stay happy, friendly and open to new experiences....
For us married guys, happiness is very simple. Just do what the wife says. Don't need to overthink anything that way.

I am a happy person. I would be lost without my humor. I laugh at alot of things that I think many people may miss.
I find some commercials on tv make me laugh outloud. Kids make me laugh, and my cat does things that crack me up.
I do believe Aggie, that it can be in the genes. One of my brothers, a sister and I have the same sense of humor.
Let's all clap our hands now!
Happiness has every thing to do with accomplishment, and - that accomplishment, is not so much about what you think you need to do for yourself . . . it is much more about what you can manage to do for others.

The more you do for others, the more you can trust in the happiness you will feel and know as true happiness.

You have accomplished something, that had your input - for the better good - and best of all - against all odds.

Every single one of us who strives for a better world is a hero - every single day.
True, and those that are in need, need to be open to receiving the help they need.
No matter what is going on, I'm usually happy. Beyond happy actually - I feel a little joyful ball of energy in my belly a lot. I enjoy my days, even if there is "bad" stuff going on around me. Why not? Feeling bad about it won't change the bad stuff, it will just ruin my mood and my day.
I accomplished everything I set out to do on my day off. Now I'm tired and ready to call it a day! Happy Thursday to all of you and have a great weekend!!!!

Same to you!
I've be thinking about your question as I've been going about my days since you posted this Marjorie, and upon deep reflection I discovered that I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life, to my recollection. I've achieved everything I've set out to achieve, I've been (almost) everywhere I've wanted to go, and I've had extraordinary adventures and have loved enough to last several lifetimes. It's been about being as fearless as possible and taking risks. Big ones. Most of the time to help others. As it is of late. Sometimes even if it's only one person one helps, it can make a world of difference. I'm full of profound gratitude, peace, energy, laughter and love. If I were to die this instant, I'd be content. Just let me finish these blueberries please grim reaper! /;-D
Hard won trr2009 - thank you though. Trust that I've suffered just about every knock in the book. But I'm just like a little energizer bunny - knock me over, and I'll right my self - dust off, and keep moving! It's all I know how to do . I'm convinced it's the two near death experiences I had, once one no longer fears death, somehow everything else seems easier to deal with. Do the things you fear and the death of fear is certain. My DAILY mantra. Got to keep on movin' . . .! Did I mention I'm also full of mischief of late - tee hee!
Wink
Sigh. I miss our party times. We need a PARTY!
