Kat, or maybe it was akabukowski, once said to me that everyone thinks their life would make a good book.

She is probably right. What do you think?

Here is your chance.

Let's all tell stories from our experiences as we traveled through time.

Ahh, but there has to be rules. They will be pretty loose, but rules there must be.

RULES:

RULES:

1. It can be any experience that you want to tell us about.

2. It can be as short as one line. Or as long as fifty. Anything over thirty will be deleted.

3.You do not have to end the story at fiftyy lines, but you have to quit writing at the end of fiftyy lines. You can not post again until at least one other person has posted something.

This ensures that everyone gets a chance.

4.You can continue on the same subject or jump to a new one.

5. Nothing is required to be in chronological order.

6. Very Graphic Sexual discriptions should be posted in the sex talk group. You can direct us to go there if we want to read about it.

7. No one will be checking the facts

8. Additional rules will be posted and implemented as I see fit.

Step right up and post. who knows, the next knock on your door may be Spielberg asking for the movie rights.
Calling it Quits: When Death drags its feettag:teebeedee.ning.com,2010-06-02:1991841:Topic:9761702010-06-02T00:16:03.876ZMother Sanity (JackieRodzinski)https://teebeedee.ning.com/profile/JackieRodzinskiMotherSanity
Serious Stuff, folks.
Not everyone has the luxury to drop dead after fois gras and toast; not everyone gets to drift off in their sleep.

Some folks get death sentences that include years of hospitalization, pain, suffering. There are those of us who chose to stay and fight (hats off to you my love, M), and others who do not.

This is a very personal decision, a very real and unique discussion.

I am 52 years old and I lived the life of fifteen sailors trapped in a whore house. I am still filled with joy and laughter, compassion , love, lust (ghmhm). My children are almost grown, my marriage is over. Recently I've recieved several reliable medical opinions that I will require spinal fusions and joint replacements, that, if placed end to end, will last for years. Sans PT.

Now, I've never been one for pain and I've never been one for drugs (unless, ofcourse, they were not medically indicated.) I hesitate to make this personal because its a decision that many of us will have to face at one time or another. But how can you discuss something more personal than death?

Would you consent to live under these conditions? Why? Why not? What if you just could NOT stand another minute of pain? Even if the cure came the day after you were dead, and the waiting was just not worthwhile? And what, how could would you tell your family and friends? What for the ones who steadfastly refused to accept your decision? All matters of sin aside, please share your thoughts with me, and I will do the same, to the best of my courage and ability... I went sledding on Saturday for the first time in years. It was a good time, but required more preparation than I expected, not the least of which was buying new boots. All of the winter boots that I have bought in the past few years are dressy leather with heels. Not sledding boots. So for the adventure, I had to buy some good, warm, stomping around boots.
In the grand scheme of things, boots are not going to solve homelessness or climate change or the current financial crisis, but they are a little thing that has made me happy this week. What little things have made you happy recently? What are you most excited about giving this year? My daughter's new friends at college, who have only known her for a few months, pitched in to buy her a new laptop. I was blown away by their generosity, although I know how easy my daughter is to like.
One of the things I'm most excited about giving this year is a pair of old Life Magazines that have JFK on the cover and have a two part interview with him - for my step daughter who is a huge history buff and is fascinated by the lives of the presidents. I think she'll love it.

I'm also going to have time to help again with the food baskets that a local group gives out to needy families. It's a lot of work gathering the things that are needed, assembling them, and bringing them to their homes, but such a wonderful thing to be involved with.

Got anything special in mind this year? What are you doing or giving that you are thrilled about?
