Who is your favorite musical artist from an era before you were born?

For me it would be Louis Armstrong and his Trumpet.

PtB nice to know someone who likes classical music. My personal likes in classical was Johann strauss and then a few others. When I was married he played piano and played Fur Elise and Bells of Moscow.

I have two.....I think Sinatra....'ol Blue Eyes....the Chairman of the Board....is my all-time favorite....but he shares the spotlight with Mario Lanza. I have his Student Prince album, and it still moves me to tears.

Now that I'm older, I like the old time bands like Tommy Dorsey. As a singer, it would have to be Dean Martin - my mom's favorite too.
