Happy TBD Birthday, Aggie! I see that our first posting on the Wall of Gratitude was nine years ago today on June 29, 2009. You have helped in keeping the home fires burning all this time and now people are starting to come home again. I am grateful to you and Pru for all the work you did to keep this place going. Thank you.
Sad to hear about the passing of Reveille VIII. She served as the First Lady of Aggieland from 2008-2015. Rest in peace, Miss Rev ma'am. Photo of Reveille VIII and I at TAMU Beef Cattle Short Course 8/4/2014.
Imagine my surprise. This site is still here??? But good to hear from you! Best to you! And so are you raising camels now too? I sorta get my animals mixed up, being a city boy, but that looks like a camel that Pru is riding in that photo...At least it doesn't look like a Holstein or a Jersey...
Wow. It's amazing how quickly your area can go from a glut of rain to a drought. I haven't been in Texas for many years and kind of forgot what the Houston area is like. Anyway, I'm sure "business as usual" feels pretty good about now.
How are you doing, Aggie--still anchored firmly? If Pru's house is high and dry, maybe you and the kids and a few choice cattle should go for a visit. :>) Hey, at least you're not a camel farmer...
It was cool to see you in Haiku world. Metub4 and I have pretty much been the only life there for the past couple of years. The halls are echoing, but I still come to TBD most every day. I have yet to collect about 50 pages of PMs (that equals about 1,500 notes) my beloved Draughn sent. It's painstaking, but those notes are precious to me. I'm thankful to Pru for letting us putter on here and hope she gives us plenty of warning whenever she decides to shut 'er down.
My prayers, and those of some good friends, will keep flapping around you and Pru like pesky crows until this whole ordeal is over. :>)
I know you're in the path of hurricane Harvey, Aggie. I'm hoping and praying that you and yours (including the farm and livestock) are doing okay. I know this is ongoing and you may have weeks of worry ahead. Just know that I and mine are thinking of you and wishing you and your fellow Texans the best.
I have designed a hurricane Harvey relief tee-shirt on Zazzle which I will post soon. (I'm waiting to see if Zazzle will mount a unified campaign, as I've suggested, before I post the shirt--but I won't wait long.) Any proceeds will go to targeted charities in Texas. It's not much, but I hope it helps, if only a little. <3 <3 <3 A.
I hope you're gonna have a great 4th, Aggie, with a parade, a barbecue, and fireworks with friends and family. Or just have a cold one in blissful silence with your feet up on the porch railing. :>) Whatever you'll be doing, I'm sending you sparkly Independence Day vibes! XOXO A.

Good morning and happy Herefords, Aggie!
Aggie, thanks for the cute comment on my page! I will try to get here more often.
EONS was as long ago as my memory will recalls RH rings a bell but so does the smell of food, so at 71 memory is not my strong suit.

Thank you. Hugs back at you.
Thank you! Another year younger....:-)
Yum, sounds like a tasty 4th so far, Aggie, and a happy one with all the Pru texting! It makes me smile.
I'm assuming the rain was a good thing, if it didn't come too quickly. Can you have fireworks or is the grass too "crispy" from the drought?
Happy 4th, Aggie!
Thank you for the Happy Birthday wishes, Aggie! That was very thoughtful of you! <3

Have you retired yet?

Mollie B came to my 3 day birthday party in Tomball, Texas.

Any cessation of the waters, Aggie? Praying for you and Pru and all in Texas, as well as our friends in Florida and Georgia.
I'm so happy to know Pru has escaped the water!

I'm so glad to hear that you, your farm, and Pru are all okay! That's really getting beach front property the hard way...
Prayers continue for you, your family, and Pru, and all in Texas.
