...The Ranch's answer to you -know - what - with no rules.

Go ahead...tell us what you're having for dinner - we can't wait! Got a cute pic of kitty peeking out of a paper bag? Post it! We live for that stuff!

Math addict? How about a refresher on the Pythagorean Theorem?

Like macaroni and cheese? Tell us why!

So even if you're not a writer or a poet (yet), there's still plenty of fun things to do at the Armadillo!

Oh baby, oh baby!

yes!

Corned beef is good stuff. Death is hard. Good luck and let's hope YOU'RE at peace ....

Ok...well...Just got word that my father passed - just like they predicted.

Talk to you later.

I am so sorry! Very strange that there are only 4 of us left (that I can see) and 3 of the 4 lost parents during the past months. My sympathy!

Thanks all, for your kind words and support.

Smooches! all the way around!

Wish we could do more. The passing of a parent is a major event ... and not a great one. My brother and sister-in-law are headed our way (from Texas) and we are going out of Cape May into the Delaware Bay with my mother's ashes -- fittingly, on Mother's Day. So she'll finally get a send-off and with luck, achieve the peace that eluded her in life.

Again, sympathies to you and your family.

I am glad you got to see him one last time before he left, and share with him an asked-for bite to eat.

Back to work after a glorious week off. Scattered my mother's ashes from our new boat off Cape May, NJ --  a place she loved -- on Mother's Day. Then my brother and his wife and Stan and I hit the sights and sites of DC for a few days of mucho walking and exhaustion from all we saw! Came home and off to Grounds for Sculpture (you can look it up) -- a magnificent outdoor sculpture garden with a fab restaurant and gorgeous landscaping (Monet, anyone?).

And now, back to work. Bah!

How's everyone else?

Not having as much fun as you! Good for ya.

My son started a grease fire in the kitchen while heating peanut oil for hot wings, then he sat on the couch and spaced out. I was back in my room. A neighbor, who saw and smelled smoke pouring out of the vent, roused us with loud knocking. Son grabbed the fire extinguisher, but not before the flames scorched the wall in back of the stove.

It could have been worse, everyone keeps telling me.

Oh, boy, grease fire, what fun! Yes, it could have been worse. In my old house (a row of old townhouses near Philly) a teenage boy started a kitchen fire and the whole house burned down! Yikes ... I am soooo glad you avoided that fate.

So is the kid grounded, like, forever?!

A little past the teenage stage, I'm afraid. Just over here trying to treat me with his specialty du jour.

I hate that yappy

Little dog who lives next door.

So loud over there.
