TBD

TBD on Ning

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

We went to a wedding today. My late wife's nephew got married in Wartrace, Tennessee. I had never been to that small town before. The wedding was in a very old church. I love old church buildings even though I am not religious. The reception was at the complex where the National Walking Horse Celebration is held every September. I never cared much for Tennessee Walking Horses because it is too much like a big dog show. Everything is done on some judges opinion. Anyway what I meant to say is that some of those horse people must have huge amounts of money. Giganitic house and barns which were usually nicer than the houses. Huge fields of very green grass with beautiful horses grazing. I didn't say those horse weren't beautiful just that they are all show. Any way we are home and I am tired.
Yeh, I lived in Northern VA for 30 years. Horse Country. People with more money than they know what to do with, so they spend it on Horse things. It is a life style that is unbelievable to people who aren't part of it. I have nothing against horses but think that money could be used for better things.

People with lots of money are a strange bunch..never understood them much..seems many of them never get enough. It's a fantasy obsession..People say it does help to make you happy, but the happiest people i have ever seen were my mexican friends from California..They were all family oriented & loved to throw a good Bar-B-Q & laugh around the penyata. They love their family members & take care of their elderly.

As for me I went to the movies...saw Hangover 2

Years ago when I saw my first Tennessee Walker at the Ft. Worth Stock Show I was  amazed at the beaty of these horses....the grace and strength.

Fast forward a few years and I saw on TV how they are trained and I lost all resoect for the owners and trainers. It borders on animal cruelty in my opinion....disgusting.

I am filled with joy these days. And this poem by my favorite poet, Hafiz, keeps going through my mind, so I'd say this fits right now as my status...

The small man

builds cages

for everyone he knows

While the sage,

who has to duck his head

when the moon is low,

keeps dropping keys

all night long

for all the

beautiful

rowdy

prisoners.

sigh... if only we could love like that all the time. :-)

Good morning d's. I am happy for you.
Good evening, P.A. thank you. life's an emotional roller coaster for me most of the time. '-)
But you have someone to take the ride with....priceless.

I was feeling extremely sorry for Weiner & how his life has been strung through the mud by thousands......so I just have this to say....LIft Weiner up guys.....& gals....:)...Thats a little funny, but I really mean it.

Oh yeah... & something that I learned from D's lately.....It's not important how you read people, it's just important how you treat them...Those are not her words, they are mine, but deducted from something she said to me about how she lives her life. Thanks D's...After all was said & done, It just registered a couple minutes ago...:) Check out Dodgers video..It's so cute......

Its kind of a blah day today....early morning rain, and more expected this afternoon.

I don't have much ambition today, but I don't have much to accomplish either.

I think I'll just loll around like a deadbeat.....that what I accuse my cats of doing....lolling around like deadbeats.  They don't seem to mind being called out that way, so I guess I won't either.

Tomorrow, its back to work I go.  For some reason this four day weekend seemed to last one day too long!

;-0

Want some 95 degree heat? I would be glad to send you about 20 degrees of it with bright sunshine.
No thank you, P.A.....we're not used to that up here on The Leelanau.  I very well could melt in such heat.
