Sounds like fun--except for the mal de mer, of course! Music is always wonderful, so I'm glad you had many listening choices. Halifax and its grass-roots feeling politics was charming a zillion years ago when I was last there. And a man in a kilt anywhere for any reason is a treat. My Draughn in a kilt would make your brain blow up. Hahaha!!! ツ
I had lots of fun as a teenager, having my first love affair, taking trips up the coast to Nova Scotia in an MG MIdget. Hahaha! That little car was a death trap, but boy was it a blast zooming along with the top down. Lots of tiny towns that rolled the carpets up by 5 each afternoon, but when you're young and in love everything is exciting. We spent a few nights in a cabin so tiny that we had to go out the door by leaping over the end of the bed. Wheeeeeeeeee!!
Yup, we'll have to see what next year brings. I wish next year were 1970.
Glad to hear you're home safely and had a good time, Carol!
What was your favorite sight/activity ashore?
I SO emphasize with your seasick experience. I've had enough horrific experiences with seasickness (like spending a whole cruise prone and only eating crackers--hahaha) that I've realized life at sea is not for me. Too bad because it's such an easy way to travel.
Smart solution for a quick but effective costume, btw!
Sorry to hear about the cancellations, Carol. I hope September will be less hot, humid, and rainy than August has been!
Yup, so far I'm staying cool enough.
Actually, I think a few people have also joined the singles group. I don't know if anyone has posted. There seems to be a few new or returning people drifting in lately. I see you posted a comment in your group. Keep it up, when you have time, to see if we can get the ball rolling. It would be nice to see some life returning to TBD.
That sounds like good progress with Max. Getting a few steps of true half-pass during your first session on it is wonderful, especially on a horse who has had many riders. Max has turned out to be a fairly willing fellow, despite being lazy. I'd say move to Training level if your trainer thinks you're both ready.
That was a great tip on the Facebook group. Thanks! I was on Facebook long ago but had privacy, and other, issues, so I left. I might think about making up an identity and going back for that group! I miss horses and horse people so much.

You take it easy too!
Hi, Carol!
You got two new people who've joined your cat group. I'm going to post a couple of "easy" general discussions to see if anyone will post.
I hope all is well with you and that you're riding up a storm!
