Gotterdammerung

I got a ticket to see Gotterdammerung in November, to be performed by the Washington National Opera. It's the only Wagner opera I've never seen. I am so excited. Inspiration

I was reading "Panic on level 4" by Richard Preston. The chapter about the Chudnovsky brothers was strangely inspiring to me. It being about the 2 mathematicians that built their own super-computer in their Manhatten apartment and used it to calculate the value of Pi to the 2.2 billionth digit to search for a pattern. Divorce: The Long Term Effects

I was divorced at the end of 2007 after 24 years of marriage. From my perspective, it was a happy marriage, producing three children and a fulfilling family life. My wife became unhappy the last couple of years and wanted out. She did not want counseling, she just wanted out. Her reason was she felt we "didn't have anything in common."
