About Me:
I am a life coach and hypnotherapist who loves to travel, eat delicious, healthy food, and experience exotic cultures. My current interest in shamanism, the Mayan calendar, and the evolution of consciousness has me excited about visiting plant medicine healers in Peru and Brazil, exploring the Mayan ruins in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala, and learning the sacred practice of tantra (it's not what you think).

Hey Donald thanks for encouragement in voice my perspective. LOL I am having fun. Nice to have a new friend in you. You sound like you lead an exciting life. I an trying to teach myself reiki , don't know if you know about it, cool stuff. Also have you studied any African shamanism? Sure you run across that in Belize.

Well, lets put it this way, my experience of having been blessed to dance in African Companies is a opportunity I cherish. The drumming was definitely healing to be around. I can only imagine what it must be like to have that woven into your daily life from birth to death.

I felt more of a spiritual connection in the Youruba music and dance that I did, since most of the songs, dances and music are dedicated to the Orishas as opposed to the Ghanaian dance that I fear often had more of a waring focus.

But I did have some what I could only define as outer body experiences while performing Modern dance.

I think it is a good idea, we can have running bet about how long it will take before the born again people show up and tried to convert us.

I love your last statement about learning the sacred practice of tantra. The (It's not what you think) tells me you actually have a passion for the authentic lifestyle of tantric living. Would love to share experiences. :-)

Have you read "The Art of Everyday Ecstasy" by Margot Anand? It was a great book on how tantric living can and should be part of our every day lives.
  • CJ

I have not read any of the books you recommend, and look forward to it. Here's an introduction to Anand's tantric perspective:
    Seven Tantric Keys of Awakening

The practices and rituals you will find here are doorways that reveal the inherent beauty and meaning of our ordinary moments:
    • Say yes to life in all its erotic passion.
    • Go with the flow of the life force within and all around you.
    • Trust yourself, and allow your personal power to manifest in life.
    • Open your heart in loving compassion to self and others.
    • Authentically express your creativity and your truth.
    • Look within to achieve clarity and insight in your life.
    • Surrender to your Source and know gratitude, spiritual peace, and a new capacity to live at your maximum potential in every moment.

Her book talks about our anti-ecstatic world and how we can overcome that with even finding ecstasy in the mundane.

Absolutely ~ Start a group and I'll be happy to hop in. You may want to be cautious to indicate you're talking "Ancient Tantric Living" not ... as you know.

    Be Positive To Be Creative

    Negative attitude I strongly condemn
As it brings hope to the bottom
    Moults confidence like an autumn
    And makes heart a melancholy-drum
    Our potential becomes infinite
If we strongly hope every minute
    Will-power is mind’s main kit
    Which makes success definite
    Free the mind of cowardice-mask
With great care study the task
Will efforts suffice? Every day ask
    With complacency never bask
When the task to achieve is mammoth
The road to reach it can never be smooth
Stones will laugh with sharp teeth
Determination alone can close each mouth
With rules of hard-work have strict compliance
Use brain which is the very best appliance
Ever develop with confidence an alliance
In goals never at all make any variance
    Compete, compete, and compete
Ever with a true winning spirit
    Allow not courage to split
The task, we will surely complete
    Happiness gives a shining skin
    Hard-work powers the bone within
    Hope supplies courage-vitamin
    Thought and soul prayers pin
    If thoughts run helter-skelter
Pray to God to provide shelter
Offer tears on the holy altar
Mind will alter as prayers filter
Chewing the past is a postmortem
Which will spoil your AM and PM
    Instead pray through a hymn
    And find in hard-work asylum
Let him be Newton, Milton, Dalton or Washington
For all of us God is the one and only captain
    His blessings come through prayer-fountain
And give us strength to move a mountain.
