Bubba and Johnny Ray, two good ole boys from North Carolina, were sitting' on the front porch drinking beer when a large truck hauling rolls and rolls of sod went by.

Leaving The Hospital
Hospital regulations require a wheel chair for patients being discharged. However, while working as a student aide, Sam found one elderly gentleman already dressed and sitting on the bed with a suitcase at his feet, who insisted he didn’t need Sam’s help to leave the hospital. After a chat about rules being rules, he reluctantly let Sam wheel him to the elevator. On the way down Sam asked him if his wife was meeting him. I don’t know,” he said. “She is till upstairs in the bathroom changing out of her hospital gown.”

Hello Paula.  Fall is a busy time of year for us farmers/gardeners.  As is spring.  We are thankful this year for our crop,  as this summer was not nice to us,  drought is not good for anyone,  especially farmers.  We are now in the midst of winter activities around here.  Cutting wood is one major job,  as we burn wood in our fireplace,  which I have been doing to heat our house.  It's finally gotten cold enough now,  the furnace has added to keep us warm.  Been trying to save as many pennies as we can,  ya know,  as well as enjoy just watching the wood burn. 

You in NY?  How are things going after the Sandy?  Were you affected?  If I have your location wrong,  sorry.  Memory is another slow thing for me some days.  LOL 

I hope to get connected with cyber friends,  as my winters are times when I can make friends and enjoy being on the computer without that guilty feeling of things being left undone.
