Right now take-out Chinese sounds good. Except my favorite place doesn't deliver and I don't want to go out. In the heat. And the rain. And the Tornado warning.

I had a frozen chicken patty, with sauteed shrooms, onions, and peppers. It pretty much sucked.
Were the shrooms mushy?
The shrooms were fine Aggie. It was that frozen chicken patty. (something my daughter left here when she moved) There are 3 or 4 more in the bag. I hate to throw food away, but I think the rest of those things have to go.
I had a slow cooker failure.
No matter how low I set it, I always end up scraping some of the scorched stuff off the bottom. The whole pot had a burnt taste to it. It was supposed to be chutney chicken, but it tasted like a science experiment gone wrong.

Crock pots are risky....Wonder why there are thousands of recipes about them.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed that. Everything I make tastes either burnt or British.
I think maybe stewed tomaters and black-eyed peas on light bread sandwiches so that you have lift and eat fast lest it fall thru the crust. :-)
I may be based around a baked chicken thigh.
