<p>Yep, dandelions have been here forever and have been used as a source of healthy nutrition and medicine for thousands of years. Settlers in the 1800's used them to stay alive on the long treks across the country. Before that, native americans had been using them.</p>

<p>Never used it as a food source, The Texas variety has really pretty bloom on a longer stalk than the others. I used to mow around them. It is impossible to kill any of them. They were here when roaches came.</p>
