I got letter to be examined to be drafted . The day i was supposed to go to Charlotte , the draft lottery went in to effect . I instead had to see a doctor of their choice . I went . Doctor weighted me "327 pounds" . He said Boy ya just eat yourself out of being drafted . I believe if i had went to serve and stayed alive i would have been a better man in life . I had 3 friends that were drafted . One went AWOL and claimed he was Gay , another was about to go to Nam , His day got him out somehow because of religion . The third one went to serve and was there when Agent Orange was used . Think that messed him up . He seems messed up a little in his head now .

The US can't win any wars anymore . Especially if it turns into a political war . The Korean War ended in a stale mate and in a sense a loss . Nam was a since less war that couldn't be won . Kept going so long with stupid moves buy the President and Nixon a crook and liar . The men and women didn't get the respect for serving and messed up so many lies . Iraq war another since less one , Don't ever see why we got involved . The one that is going on now another one that can't be won . Now that China threatening war . Didn't the US learn anything from the previous ones .

So many have lost their lives and for what . I do believe WW2 was justified even though so many were killed . 

I guess the final war will maybe do us all in .

it's called misplaced anger. the anger is really at the ones in power but people don't see those people in daily life. in actual fact, the soldiers returning were even more the victims of the people who wanted us in a war than the general population. and remember many of the people angry at the war were kids. kids who had seen their classmates get drafted and go off and sometimes not return. the national guard troops who fired on the students at kent state were probably the same age as the students and scared shitless as well.

that is an incorrect statement. china is not threatening war. it is north korea..led by a 29 year old dipshit. china in fact has advised dialing back the rhetoric.  the danger lies in young men with more balls than brains...and old men trying to prove they still have balls if they ever did

Sorry i meant North Korea . I had several friends that was drafted right out of high school with no choice .
