Since becoming a Senior Citizen? I found out just how important being at the ocean (or at least large bodies of water) is to me. I also found out that I like basil (I used dried, not fresh). I'd never used it before I became a senior.

I have come to realize how short my attention span is. I don't think it's a decline in cognitive skills as i age as much as it is a lack of mental discipline.  Without the high pressure applied by career and family responsibilities, I can't seem to stay on task when it comes to all those leisure activities that I had postponed for retirement.

And on a dietary note, I have discovered I really like Accent seasoning. I know its MSG and somebody is thinking it might be the cause of my ADD, but I really doubt that.

OMG PTB! While reading your first paragraph I was thinking how similar your situation is to mine. I have ADD and I don't use MSG. Sometimes I have to just force myself to focus and get a task done, but admittedly it's not easy.  I find I do better if I

~Make To Do lists

~Play "Beat the Clock" to see how quickly and efficiently I can get things done

~Listen to music, especially when doing a task I hate

~Punish myself...can't use the computer until I get a task (or tasks) done

I don't usually use all of these methods at the same time. Maybe I should.

I'm big with lists, nothing gets done until it's on a list. I flip between reward and punishment as motivation, still I often reach end of day disappointed with lack of accomp, ishment anyway.

How many more people piss me off...and how quickly and easily it happens.

I have a very short fuse, I never used to be that way but I am now.
