Again there are a lot of 'ifs' involved in answering this question so I will answer as it affects me. It simplifies my life.
It simplifies my life, but when it fails...very inconvenient and frustrating.
For me,it's more complicated.
I honestly believe it's simplified my life.
For the most part it has simplified my life. But it's maddening when technical glitches occur.
You know, it has something to do with my age. For example, every time I bought a new car, I would take out the glove compartment manual, sit in the car, and read it from front to back. I'd know what every knob or dial would do. I now have a 2017 Toyota Camry and this is the first time I haven't done this. I'm looking at all of the dials and I have no idea what most of them do. Technology is great if you avail yourself and I'm not doing that.
I like technology. I recently got some "smart plugs" so I can have Alexa turn off the light for me when I am in bed. I have Alexa do a whole routine for me in the morning and at night. In the morning she reads me the news and weather and plays thirty minutes of classic rock to get me going. At night she tells me the news and then plays rain sounds to put me to sleep. I use online banking to pay my bills. So I have to say that technology simplifies my life.
