If you opened a business, what kind of business would it be?  From what I've been doing lately, to help with the small business he has, I'd say a painter.  I spent one weekend painting board after board Tennessee Orange then white boards.  All to build a wagon for a local little boy.

I had a dress shop when I lived in the Dallas area.  Then my husband and I had a used car lot in Arkansas which we closed and retired just 9 months before he passed away.  I also used to sew for others.

My long time friend and I used to go to garage sales all the time when we were young and lived near each other. It was always fun to see what people had. Sometimes we really found some great items that we just couldn't live without. I think it might be fun to have a consignment store with a section for homemade crafts. That way, people could bring things to us.

That reminds me that I had a flea market stall in Waxahachie. I enjoyed doing that and most of the items I had for sale were items found at garage sales and crafts that I made.

My business choice? I'd open up a B&B. Along with that I'd have a vegetable and herb garden. I'd use produce and herbs to make breakfasts.

I really don't know Helen. When I was in my 20's and early 30's, I gave organ lessons for awhile, first in a music studio part time, then at clients homes or my house. Got tired of the children not practicing. I tried multi level marketing, I sold aromatherapy handmade soaps and candles for awhile. I found out sales is not my thing. I saw what my husband went through being a business owner (mom-pop variety/clothing store). I never worked there...can't be tied down like that.

Truth is back in the 90's early 2000 I wanted to open my owb reak estate company but the cost was overwhelming.  I functioned as a broker for one company and a manager for another, just as an associate broker doing listings and sales.

I'd do something like making pies to sell. Or other desserts.
