I came across two such recently published books written before COVID-19:

Wanderers by Chuck Wendig written before the pandemic but has eerie flashes of some events and behaviors we saw. Also a bit of a zombie story and a race to stem the disaster by disgraced scientists and dubious Artificial Intelligence tools among other things, with predictable opposition from the political operatives. Found it engaging.

The End of October by Lawrence Wright who is known for his investigative journalism (The Looming Tower)

Also written before the pandemic has less political slant and less apocalyptic is more focused on the race of scientist and researchers against the pathogens. Have not read it yet but it is on my list
corona virustag:teebeedee.ning.com,2020-03-19:1991841:Topic:18615192020-03-19T19:49:01.268ZIoruachhttp://teebeedee.ning.com/profile/Iorouch

P.S. I see posts of so many sharing and caring for others and those putting Christmas lights up to cheer others. In Italy they are singing from their balconies, and other places are playing games between buildings or being led in exercises by instructors located on rooftops! What a marvelous breed we are! And the earth is healing at a rapid rate, maybe we can learn from this scare.

It is set in the 11th century and involves a woman who somehow goes from being in a bad accident in this century to back to the 11th century where she wakes up a fat countess. I am really not into time travel, royalty or that kind of thing, however I am on my fourth book in this series. Even as I tell myself how bizarre this is......take for instance how much the English language has changed, I find myself interested. It is not an especially challenging read so I am at a loss why I am so interested! There is another series I read, called the Aunt Dimity series, that I think is written much like a Nancy Drew book that I also enjoy at times. I guess we all open the book and give it a try and if it holds our attention we read! I also find that I sometimes just cannot read a book......and again I am at a loss as to why I am not able to read it. I guess with the zillion of books now available I just don't want to waste the time if I am not enjoying myself.
Great Books of 2018tag:teebeedee.ning.com,2019-08-03:1991841:Topic:18511672019-08-03T15:34:26.705ZIoruachhttp://teebeedee.ning.com/profile/Iorouch
