Hi folks. I'm just checking in to play around with the controls, settings and functions. Anyone passing by the door, stick your head in and say high. If I'm here, the coffee pot is on and looks like I am going to be here every day.
This time I clicked on Page 1 and added this comment at the beginning of the thread. This should wind up at the bottom left of Page 77.
And it worked. This comment is a reply to that post.
This is a reply to the above reply. Each reply moves it a quarter inch across the page; If I remember correctly, you can go 6 levels deep into the original comment.
Wow! It's like coming home. Hi Cuppa - welcome home and thanks for the cup of fresh brewed. I'll be stopping by more often now that I know your up and running again. Hugs
Welcome to "The Grind" Sandy. This Ning site is a bit more complicated than the old TBD site, but a little knowledge will help you out.
First, remember to do a Ctrl R often. This refreshes the screen, adding any recent replies to the stream.
Second, if you reply to any comment, your reply will remain at that place, and not go to the end of the thread.
Third, If you just want to add a non-related comment at the end of the thread, it's a little more complicated. You must return to page 1 and make a reply to the original comment. You do this by tapping "Page 1 GO" at the bottom right of your screen. A "Reply" to the original comment makes a new Sub Thread which will add your comment at the end of the last page.
Forth, I knew that you had commented here because I received an email telling me so. There is a tappable switch on the front page which enables or disables this function.
I hope this helps. come back and see us often. The Daily Grind is going to Rock and Roll again.
One additional note: When you want to make a new comment at the end of the thread, Tap "Page 1 Go" at the bottom of any page. Then hit "Reply" to the space below the Coffee Cup. Make your comment and hit Reply. Also, it is next to this "Reply" button is the "Follow or 'Disable Follow" button which turns of the email function. After you reply, use the page function at the page bottom to return to the last page.
I also increase the font to 16 and boldface the type. It makes it much easier on these old eyes.
Happy April Fool's Day! I'm thinking about the Resurrection and how Jesus pranked his disciples. "Don't take it serious. Life's too mysterious." Normally I wouldn't be so irreverent, but this year the coincidence is just so cool.
I think I need my coffee now.
Hi, Everybody! Geez, I need to poke around more often. It's amazing, all the pockets of life I've run across in the last few months. :>) It's so good to know that some folks are returning here from FB.
For those who don't know me, I've been around since the start of the "mothership," as the Dyslexic Dodger and I liked to call TBD Prime. Then I was a moderator on ThinkBeDo (while maintaining a couple of groups here), and when Quinn closed up shop there, I moved back here full-time and have been here ever since. I've been sequestered in my Haiku, Horse, and LGBT groups and in Forum Games with a few other diehards and didn't realize there were more folks roaming the halls.
BTW, Snagg has begun posting his setlist in Forum Discussions again from his WQNA radio show called "Fear and Loathing in Springfield," every Sunday late. It would be fabulous if anyone interested in alternative music would show up there and comment. At this point, he's doing all that work thinking I'm the only one who sees it. Here's the link: http://teebeedee.ning.com/forum/topics/snaggs-radio-show
Anyway, I'm glad you're all here and I hope to see more homecomings from FB!
