It might be fun and interesting to do a variation on Rishi's "Une Lingne Donne" discussion in which three participants will each write a full haiku (rather than a single line) that will end up telling a cohesive haiku "story."
The first person will write a haiku. The second person will hit "reply" to that haiku, copy and paste it in the reply box, then add his or her own haiku. The third person will hit "reply" to the second offering, copy and paste the first two haiku, then add the third and final haiku.
Three haiku for each completed "story" sounds good to me because it gives the opportunity for a beginning, middle, and end.
I'll begin...

cold winds of winter
horses' whinnies crack the air
distant golden glow
I approach the hearth
trying to thaw this cold heart
she grabs my chilled hand

jonquils and tulips
force their way through permafrost
spring blooms in my soul
horizontal palms
manhole covers pop like corks
summer hurricane

summer hurricane
road packed exodus
scurrying for higher ground
lives more important

homes can be rebuilt
material things re-bought
lives can't be replaced
donned fully in black
after midnight she slips out
silent and unseen
lured by mysteries
raven wings of night enshroud
her soul's intention

in her lover's bed
robes of night fallen to earth
she gives everything
The Neighborhood Bar
select wines and unique beers
building friendly cheers
each one has a Norm
characters same, new faces
all want to connect

all want to connect
seeking what's missing
inhibitions set aside
and one empty stool
paper heart doily
with words scribbled hastily
left there just for me
paper heart doily
with words scribbled hastily
left there just for me
i kiss the red ink
my pulse racing, soul soaring
for the love of you
