If you don't use the library, why not? Are Kindles (et al) replacing our local book lenders as well as bookstores? Should we even try to maintain large book collections for the public? Should the library system be revamped somehow?

My library has lectures and speakers sometimes. I always think I'm going to go, but haven't yet. They are going to have a Folk Singing night in a couple of weeks...maybe I'll go to that.
What are you reading?tag:teebeedee.ning.com,2010-07-31:1991841:Topic:10306782010-07-31T15:06:32.564ZMother Sanity (JackieRodzinski)http://teebeedee.ning.com/profile/JackieRodzinskiMotherSanity
Dostoevsky. Crime and Punishment. I read it as a kid, then picked it up again on this trip. (This time son was reading it.) Absolutely rivetting.

I just finished Infidel (what a brave woman!) and was ready to start on Satanic Verses (S. Rushdie) before I was diverted. Next I just MUST re-read The Brothers Karamazov. Theres a reason this stuff is classical.

What about you? What's in your reading pile?
